The College of Commissioner Science provides supplemental training for functions in the council and district related to commissioner service. Commissioners are key to the continued health and growth of the units in the council. The College of Commissioner Science provides the supplemental training to aid the commissioners in providing outstanding unit service.
The College of Commissioner Science will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Camp Coker in Society Hill, SC. Commissioners are offered training tracks for Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate of Commissioner Science, as well as Continuing Education. A brown-bag presentation by the Territory Commissioner will be provided during lunch. Check-In is at the COPE Training Center, west of the Camp Coker Pond on Camp Coker Road. Any registered Scouter is invited to attend, including those who are not commissioners but who would like to learn more about the Commissioner Service. Please note: You must be registered as a Commissioner and fully trained before the event to earn the college-level credentials.
The cost is $40.00 per person and includes a light breakfast, lunch, and recognition. It will include a light breakfast, lunch, and recognition. Courses will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude around 4:45 p.m. Please arrive to check-in by 8:45 a.m. at the COPE Training Center. If you would like to arrive on Friday evening, the bunk houses will be open. Please note that when registering. For those interested in arriving Friday evening, we will host a cracker barrel at 8:00 p.m. and have accommodations available in the bunk rooms for you for an additional $15.00.
