Awards and Recognition

The Indian Waters Council presents a few awards each year to recognize volunteers for their dedicated service to the Scouting program. These awards acknowledge individuals who consistently give of themselves to ensure the absolute best quality Scouting experience for youth and adults in the 19 counties within the council.  Please consider nominating a dedicated Scouter you believe has influenced the program throughout their council, districts, and communities.

Council-level awards will be presented at the Awards Reception and Banquet

To Submit A Nomination:

Online – Nomination forms may be submitted using the online form below.

In-Office – Forms may be submitted to Scott Hagler, Field Director, in the council service center.

This award recognizes registered Scouters of exceptional character who have provided distinguished service within the council

NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award

A distinguished recognition awarded to Eagle Scouts for outstanding service to their profession and community.

NESA Eagle Project of the Year

An award to recognize valuable service of an exceptional nature by an Eagle Scout candidate to a religious institution, school, community or other entity through completion of an Eagle Scout project during the previous calendar year.

District Award of Merit

An award presented to Scouters who have rendered outstanding service at the District-level.  When submitting this form, please include the scouter's district.

Nominations are accepted year-round. Awards are presented annually at the district level

Council Duty to God Award

The Council Duty to God Award was created to recognize those registered Scouters who have demonstrated an exemplary history of transformational leadership in supporting and promoting the spiritual foundation of Scouting at the local Council level. It acknowledges the unswerving dedication to faith, fellowship, and service of those whose character embodies the moral principles and shared ideals of the Boy Scouts of America.
